Australian Geomechanics Society (AGS) 2018 Debate, Sydney – 12 December, 2018

The highly anticipated Australian Geomechanics Society (AGS) annual debate will be taking place in Sydney on December 12 at 6pm.

Lively discussion and a bit of festive cheer are expected to be high on the agenda for all attendees. This year, Menard Oceania’s Managing Director Philippe Vincent is delighted to be joining the debating panel alongside other industry experts including:

Dr Adrian Russell Associate Professor, School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, UNSW
Kim Chan A GHD Principal Senior Technical Director – Geotechnics
Dr Jeff Hsi Technical Principal – Geotechnical, EIC Activities (a member of the CIMIC Group)

Hot topics up for discussion include asking whether geotechnical engineers are simply too conservative….or is it more a case of main contractors being too ambitious! Go on, come along and tell us what you really think!

No doubt, this is set to be a topic that is sure to get the room talking in what’s expected to be an informative and entertaining night.
