Site Visit at our Casuarina Boat Harbour land reclamation site!
From hard hats to hard ground – our Casuarina site visit was as solid as the vibro-compaction beneath our boots.
Our WA team hosted a site visit at our new land-reclamation project at Casuarina Boat Harbour for the new northern breakwater. The ground improvement works are ongoing using Menard Oceania’s vibrocompaction technique to densify calcareous sands with up to 12 m thickness.
The event brought together an incredible group of professionals from the Department of Transport, BG&E, Douglas Partners Pty Ltd, FSG Geotechnics + Foundations, GHD, Jacobs Engineering Group Incorporation, Local Geotechnics, PLS (Pilbara Minerals), and Worley.
Allen Zorotovic, GM at Italia Stone, kicked off the day with an insightful presentation about the project, setting the stage for a detailed session on vibro-compaction techniques and a guided tour of the site.
“It was a fantastic opportunity to share knowledge, collaborate, and highlight the innovative work being done as part of Transforming Bunbury’s Waterfront,” he said.
