Grouting

Menard - Soil Mixing

In addition to jet grouting, a variety of specialist grouting techniques are undertaken by Menard Oceania, ranging from classical permeation grouting of rocks and soils, to compensation and compaction grouting.

Compaction Grouting

Compaction grouting is a grouting technique appropriate for loose soils, employing relatively high pressure and is used to increase the density of the soil into which it is introduced. It consists in the introduction of a pumpable but very stiff grout into the soil with the aim of achieving compaction of the soil by the imposition of high horizontal stresses.

Injection Grouting

Injection grouting is one of the major techniques that Menard Oceania is able to offer in the complex field of ground improvement; and is related to 4 sub-techniques: permeation grouting / hydro fracture grouting / compensation grouting / rock grouting.

Applications

These techniques can be utilised for a wide range of applications from improvement of dam foundations, waterproofing of tunnels and deep basement located beneath groundwater level but also on structural retrofitting for stabilisation of rock mass and structural underpinning.
